Colin Mackey, baritone – St. John’s (NL) 

Newfoundland baritone Colin Mackey enjoyed a dynamic first year with l’Atelier lyrique, covering Don Giovanni, debuting as Rychtář in Jenůfa, collaborating with the Orchestre classique de Montréal, and taking part in a workshop of Jonathan Dawe’s La Tragédie d’Atys. In 2026–27, he will sing the Mandarin in Turandot, perform Mozart’s Requiem with the Orchestre de l’Agora, make his Salle Bourgie debut in a Schubert Lieder recital, and appear in the production of La Tragédie d’Atys. A former McPhee Artist with Calgary Opera, he attended the Franz Schubert Institute in Austria and holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School and a master’s degree from McGill University.
