Ticket Donation Policy
The Opéra de Montréal is proud to support the vitality of the cultural community by donating opera tickets to various non-profit organizations to assist them in raising funds through their benefit events.
Tickets must be used solely for the purpose of fundraising to support the organization’s activities—they may not be used as door prizes or tokens of recognition.
The choice of operas, the number of tickets, and their value are at the sole discretion of the Opéra de Montréal.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The Opéra de Montréal will give priority to requests from:
- Non-profit organizations in the arts and culture sector (theatre, dance, opera, circus, visual arts, film, etc.);
- Organizations that have the involvement of an employee, member of senior management, or board member of the Opéra de Montréal.
The Opéra de Montréal will not consider requests from:
- Political parties or political organizations;
- Individual projects;
- Conferences or meetings.
PROCEDURES
- Your request must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the date of your event or benefit activity.
- Donations are not automatically renewed; a new request must be submitted for evaluation.
- You must complete the online form. Requests submitted by phone, mail, email, or fax will not be considered.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE DONATION
Organizations receiving a donation from the Opéra de Montréal agree to acknowledge the donation on their various platforms, including the Opéra de Montréal logo and the opera visual provided.
HOW TO REQUEST A DONATION
Organizations wishing to request a ticket donation must complete the following form at least four weeks before the benefit event.
The Opéra de Montréal team will respond to your request—whether approved or declined—by email at the earliest opportunity.
