Etienne began the 2024-25 season with two Verdi roles at the Wiener Staatsoper: Giorgio Germont in La traviata and Rodrigo di Posa in a new production of Don Carlo. He continues in the great Verdian roles, making his debut in the title role of Macbeth in a new production at the Washington National Opera, before returning to Rigoletto, this time at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Renowned for his “suave, empathetic baritone voice” and “refined, charismatic stage presence” (The New York Times), Etienne Dupuis enjoys international renown, performing regularly on the world’s most prestigious opera stages.
