Accessibilité universelle

Performances for blind and visually impaired audiences, featuring audio descriptions and tactile experiences

The Opéra de Montréal is proud to make opera accessible to all by offering adapted performances for blind or visually impaired audience members.

Description

This program allows people who are blind or visually impaired to experience Opéra de Montréal performances to their fullest, thanks to live audio description. Some performances are also preceded by tactile stage visits, where blind audience members can explore the opera’s sets and props through touch for an even more immersive experience.

Each performance has 20 designated seats: 10 for visually impaired people and 10 for their companions.
