Prices
What is dynamic pricing?

Like many opera companies around the world, Opéra de Montréal employs dynamic pricing. This means that the prices of all our shows are subject to change (increase or decrease) according to sales. Sales are analyzed regularly by our team, and prices are adjusted accordingly. Prices indicated on our website are modified in real time and reflect the most recent price for each performance. Tickets purchased as part of a season subscription, whether classic or flex, are never subject to dynamic pricing. Your prices are guaranteed for the entire season from the moment you make your purchase, locking in savings of over 30%.

As with all our tickets, sales are final and no refunds will be issued in the event of a price reduction.

Don’t hesitate to contact our customer service team at 514 985-2258 (Mon.-Fri. 10 AM to 6PM and Sat. 10AM to 4PM) for detailed information on our rates and the best ways to save!

Do you offer discounts or promotional codes?

We occasionally offer special promotions or discounts on certain operas. These offers are usually posted in the Newsletter, in customer e-mail messages and on our social networks.

Do you have a youth ticket offer?

Yes, we have an offer for young people aged 18 to 34, as well as a 50% discount on tickets for children and teenagers aged 17 and under.

Which package offers the best value?

The classic subscription or the flex 3 operas subscription offer you 30% off the price of regular tickets. These are the two most advantageous packages. You can consult them here.

Access and Evening

The only rule that strictly applies: bare shirt or bare feet = no opera!

Is there a checkroom?

Are children allowed?

Some operas deal with fairly grave subjects. Before bringing children, make sure the opera is suitable for them. You can consult our website to read a summary of the plot, or inquire with our customer service agents.

Also, children will get more out of their opera outing if you prepare them beforehand, by telling them the story or listening to certain excerpts with them.

Is there on-site parking?

Yes. Please note that the Place des Arts parking facility is in high demand on performance nights, and quickly fills up. To guarantee your spot, buy your ticket online in advance. We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your event, as there may be traffic at the entrance, especially when several shows begin at the same time.

Should I arrive early?

We recommend arriving no later than 15 minutes before the performance begins.

What happens if I arrive late?

Unlike movies, popular shows or sporting events, once the performance has begun, YOU CANNOT GET IN OR OUT! If you arrive late because of traffic, you may watch the opera on the monitors in the foyers. You’ll be allowed in only at intermission.

What happens if I can't attend my performance?

In accordance with our Terms and Conditions (link to terms and conditions page), tickets are non-refundable. However, in the case of a medical condition such as hospitalization, please contact our customer service department to provide proof and obtain a refund.
